Free agent David West has ruled out the possibility of joining the New York Knicks after opting out of his deal with the Indiana Pacers.
The forward has reiterated his desire to join a contender next season, choosing a winning team over one that can offer more financially.
"At this point in my career, it's all about winning, and again, I don't want to be in a position where we're just fighting to make the playoffs," West said, according to WTHR.com.
"I want to be in a spot where we can legitimately taste the Finals."
There has been no indication over which team the 34-year-old has discussed terms with so far, but the Knicks are not on his radar.
