Paul George has revealed that he is aiming to return to practice at the start of March and play a game within two weeks.
The Indiana Pacers swingman suffered a gruesome open fracture to his right leg in August while on duty with Team USA.
The 24-year-old told ESPN: "I have targeted March 1 as the date that I would go 100% in practice, and if everything felt good, I'd give myself another two weeks to get in shape to play in a game.
"The biggest fear I have is injuring my [left] healthy leg because I'm so used to it being the stronger one and I don't want to overcompensate for it. I got a rod in my other one, so that's stronger than it was before."
George averaged 21.7 points per game in 80 appearances for the Pacers last season.
