Houston Rockets star James Harden has responded to questioning regarding who is the 'best basketball player alive right now' by voting for himself.
The 24-year-old is considered one of the most elite offensive players in the NBA but his detractors continue to criticise his defensive ability.
When suggested that he made the answer sound easy, Harden responded by insisting that it was an easy answer as he believes he is the best player alive right now, ESPN reports.
Although the Rockets guard did demonstrate humility at other points in the interview, he follows in the footsteps of the likes of Derrick Rose and John Wall in making such a statement.
