Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has outlined his ambition to see the club reach a long-term deal with Tristan Thompson.
The 24-year-old and the Cavaliers have been in talks over the summer to attempt to secure his future at the team, but have been unable to come to an agreement.
However, James is confident that the two sides will reach terms in the near future, despite Thompson's failure to attend the first practice session of his team's training camp.
"I've already addressed it," James told reporters. "Play my clips from [Monday]. I've already addressed it.
"I probably won't address it again too much more. Like I said, I'm optimistic that both sides will get something done and he'll be here sooner than later."
Thompson averaged 8.5 points per game for the Cavaliers in the 2014-15 season.
