David Blatt has insisted that the Cleveland Cavaliers being labelled as favourites to win the NBA title counts for nothing ahead of the new season.
After battling injuries on the way to losing 4-2 in the finals against the Golden State Warriors last season, many believe that LeBron James, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving can deliver a first title to Cleveland in the trio's second year together.
However, Blatt claims that he still does not know how good his team can be as Irving and Iman Shumpert remain on the sidelines with injuries.
"All the predictions and prognostications, it doesn't mean a whole lot," he told reporters. "Right now we are not as of yet a full team, so it's hard for me to tell you what we are.
"I know what I think we can be and certainly we can be a contender, but beyond that today? I don't think we got the right to talk too, too much about more than that. We'll take it one day at a time."
The Cavs start their season against the Chicago Bulls next Tuesday.
