Report: Brooklyn Nets in talks to trade for Lance Stephenson

The Brooklyn Nets are in trade talks with the Charlotte Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder about a deal which could see Lance Stephenson make the move to New York.

The Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder have reportedly started negotiations about a three-way trade which could take Lance Stephenson to New York.

Stephenson signed a three-year deal with the Hornets in the summer after choosing to leave the Indian Pacers, but he has struggled to find his best form in North Carolina.

According to ESPN, the Nets are leading the race to sign Stephenson, who won four city championships at Brooklyn's Lincoln High School, but any potential deal will hinge on talks with the Thunder and Hornets.

The report claims that the proposed deal would see Nets center Brook Lopez join the Thunder, while the Hornets would receive Jarret Jack from Brooklyn and Jeremy Lamb from Oklahoma.

Recent reports have suggested that Lopez is also a target for the Miami Heat, who are believed to have held talks with the Nets over a trade for the 26-year-old, but a lack of valuable trade assets could cost the South Florida franchise.
