Brooklyn Nets edge out Sacramento Kings to Andrea Bargnani signing

The Brooklyn Nets sign center Andrea Bargnani to two-year deal on a veterans' minimum contract, beating the Sacramento Kings to his signature.

The Brooklyn Nets have beaten the Sacramento Kings to the signing of center Andrea Bargnani.

The 29-year-old was reportedly close to sealing a move to the Kings after leaving the New York Knicks at the end of the 2014-15 season.

However, despite the Kings offering more money to secure his signature, Bargnani opted to move to the Nets on a two-year deal on a veterans' minimum contract.

Bargnani has averaged 15 points per game in his nine-year career.
