Deron Williams has revealed that he is not able to set a date for his return from an ankle injury.
The Brooklyn Nets point guard injured his ankle just a few days before the beginning of his side's pre-season training camp and he could not give the team's supporters any promising news when asked about his fitness.
"I would definitely think you'd need to scrimmage before you go out and play an NBA game. I would think. I don't know, I'm not sure," Williams told reporters.
"I would think you'd have to do that, so when that happens I'll let you guys know. It's frustrating having to sit out, frustrating having to watch them play.
"Practice has been fun to watch, but also frustrating to watch because I can't be out there."
The Nets begin the new NBA season by visiting the Cleveland Cavaliers next Wednesday.
