The Oklahoma City Thunder took a step to regaining top spot in the Western Conference with a win over the Houston Rockets.

Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant combined for 66 while both teams had a series of fouls in a highly-charged encounter.

The San Antonio Spurs took their seventh win in a row with victory over the Chicago Bulls.

The Golden State Warriors cruised to a comfortable win over the Dallas Mavericks to take their fifth straight win.

The home side had an 11-point lead at the break, before continuing to dominate after the break, as Jordan Crawford and Andrew Bogut added 34 points between them.

The Sacramento Kings struggled to score in the second half as they slipped to defeat to the Detroit Pistons.

The visitors started well, leading at the end of the first quarter, but were only able to add 11 in the third, while Josh Smith and Rodney Stuckey kept the points coming for the hosts to end their run of three consecutive losses.

The Memphis Grizzlies increased their hold on the final playoff spot in the Western Conference with a win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The hosts had five players in double figures, including a 19 from Marc Gasol, as they gradually built their lead to secure a third win in a row.

The Minnesota Timberwolves needed a strong finish to claim a win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The visitors were ahead at half time, but Kevin Love finished the game with 27, while JJ Barea added 19 to help the Wolves overturn the deficit and seal the victory.
