Rajiv Ouseph: Victory was "quite comfortable"

Team England's Rajiv Ouseph admits that he needs to prepare himself for a tougher outing in the round of 16 following his comfortable victory over Mauritius's Sahir Edoo.

England's Rajiv Ouseph has admitted that he was pleased with his performance in his round-of-32 victory in the men' singles over Mauritius's Sahir Edoo.

The 27-year-old recorded a comfortable victory in straight sets to reach the round of 16 at the Commonwealth Games, and is eyeing a brief respite after playing on each day of the competition so far.

He told reporters: "It was nice to see it through another round, it was quite comfortable but I think the tougher matches will start from tomorrow. I need to start getting ready now for those tougher matches.

"I'm a little bit tired but it's nice that I'm playing early on in the day so I've got the rest of the day to recover so hopefully by tomorrow I will be back to tip-top shape."

Ouseph has won a silver medal at the Games already, after losing to Malaysia in the gold-medal match in the mixed team event.
