Rajiv Ouseph pleased with Games start

Rajiv Ouseph admits that he is pleased with how he and his Team England teammates have played so far in the badminton event at the Commonwealth Games.

Team England badminton player Rajiv Ouseph has revealed that he is pleased with the way he and his teammates have started the Commonwealth Games.

The mixed team have won both of their matches so far at the competition, with 5-0 victories over Northern Ireland and Jersey.

Ouseph feels that the good start will stand them in good stead as the tournament progresses.

He told reporters: "It was quite a comfortable game and it is nice for England to keep winning as a team and let's come through the group and see what happens in the later stages.

"I think when we saw the group we were quite happy, there will always be some tough matches in there but we are in good shape.

"It was nice to get time in the hall, it is quite airy and a big arena so it is good to get used to it. The crowd were phenomenal and have been really supportive."

Team England are back in action again on Saturday against Mauritius.
