Chris Adcock pleased with progress in badminton mixed doubles

Team England badminton player Chris Adcock admits that he is pleased with how he and his wife Gabby Adcock played as they reached the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles badminton.

Team England badminton player Chris Adcock has revealed that he was delighted with and his partner Gabby Adcock's performance in their win over Malaysia at the Commonwealth Games.

The pair advanced to the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles in Glasgow with a straight-sets win over Wee Kiong Tan and Vivian Kah Mun Hoo.

He told reporters: "That was a good game for us, we knew it was going to be tough against two very good badminton players.

"We've seen how good the Malaysians have been all week so to beat them in two straight sets in the manner that we did was really good for us."

Adcock and his wife Gabby are back in action on the court on Friday in their last-eight clash.
