The IAAF reveals that two female athletes whose doping was found out at the London Olympics have both received suspensions from the sport.

The International Association of Athletics Federations has revealed that two female athletes whose doping was found out during the London Olympics have been suspended by their respective national federations.

Syrian 400m hurdler Ghfran Almouhamad has been banned for six months after testing positive for the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine in a sample taken on August 3, two days before she finished eighth in her first-round heat at the Games.

Turkish long jumper Karin Mey Melis has been suspended until August 7, 2014 for testing positive for testosterone at the European Championships two months before the Olympics.

Mey Melis was withdrawn from the Olympic final just hours before she was due to compete.
