Katarina Johnson-Thompson: 'It's the most disappointing week of my life'

Katarina Johnson-Thompson says that her performances at the World Athletics Championships were "definitely disappointing".

Katarina Johnson-Thompson has said that the World Athletics Championships has been the "most disappointing week" of her life.

Johnson-Thompson was in the running for a gold medal in the heptathlon before being fouled out of the long jump event. She then finished 11th in the long jump final.

"It's been the most disappointing week of my life . The whole season I've been building up to this week and to take on both events," Katarina Johnson-Thompson told BBC Sport.

"To get to Beijing in one piece and in quite good shape, it was a triumph for me, but not to be able to do what I wanted to do and what I've been dreaming of since Prague [European Indoor Championships] was definitely disappointing."

The 22-year-old finished runner-up in the long jump at the World Indoor Championship last year.
