Great Britain's Katarina Johnson-Thompson to defend high jump title

Katarina Johnson-Thompson will defend her high jump title at the British Indoor Championships in only her second competition since suffering a foot injury.

Great Britain's Katarina Johnson-Thompson will compete in her second competition since suffering a foot injury when she defends her high jump title at the British Indoor Championships.

The 22-year-old was forced to miss last year's Commonwealth Games and European Championships with injury.

Later this month in Sheffield, the athlete will defend her title, which she scooped with a British record 1.96m jump in 2014.

Johnson-Thompson, who will compete against British outdoor record holder Isobel Pooley and world junior champion Morgan Lake, has also added the 60m hurdles to her events list.
