British sprinter Dina Asher-Smith was forced to pull out of the Sainsbury's Indoor Grand Prix in Birmingham this afternoon as a precautionary measure.
The 19-year-old, who was drawn in lane four, had been due to compete in the women's 60m.
However, ahead of next month's European Indoor Athletics Championships in Prague, it has been decided that the youngster should withdraw to prevent further fitness issues.
"Absolutely gutted + so upset to have to withdraw today, but looking forward to Euros it was the best idea," she tweeted.
Asher-Smith is considered to be one of Team GB's big medal hopes in the Czech Republic.
