Great Britain's Eilidh Child has comfortably secured a place in the semi-finals of the 400m hurdles at the European Championships in Zurich, Switzerland.
The 27-year-old qualified for the next round by winning the opening heat at the Letzigrund Stadium in 55.32s.
Child, who won a silver medal in this event at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, sealed a place in the semis right alongside the second and third-place finishers in her heat.
Axelle Dauwens of Belgium finished second in a time of 56.15s, while Russia's Vera Rudakova crossed the finish line just behind in 56.35s.
