Oscar Pistorius is "unlikely" to be invited to feature in the London Anniversary Games this summer, according to UK Athletics chairman Ed Warner.

UK Athletics chairman Ed Warner has admitted that Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius was "unlikely" to receive an invitation to feature in the London Anniversary Games.

The South African double amputee would be legally permitted to take part in this summer's tournament after his lawyers successfully had the 26-year-old's bail conditions relaxed.

Pistorius, who is awaiting a murder trial for the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, is now free to travel abroad following the High Court's decision to allow the athlete access to his passport under certain conditions.

"In the circumstances, it's probably very unlikely that we'd be sending an invitation to him but we'd review it very carefully in the light of all circumstances," The Telegraph quotes Warner as saying. "My initial reaction is that it would be a very remote possibility."

Pistorius has maintained that he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder when he shot the model dead at his home in Pretoria on Valentine's Day by firing four times through a bathroom door.
