Paula Radcliffe welcomes IAAF report clearing her of doping allegations

Three-time London Marathon winner Paula Radcliffe welcomes the IAAF's report clearing her of doping allegations.

British long-distance runner Paula Radcliffe has welcomed the IAAF's report clearing her of doping allegations.

The three-time London Marathon winner was implicated after German broadcaster ARD and the Sunday Times reported allegations of widespread doping.

It was alleged that 14 of Radcliffe's blood values were "suspicious", but the world athletics governing body has rejected the claims, insisting that the 41-year-old has always been clean.

"I'm glad the IAAF have been able to put it down in writing and to have it brought out," Radcliffe told Sky News. "In the climate of things maybe people think it's not important right now, but it's important to me and the attacks made on my integrity and my credibility."

The IAAF also rejected claims that the body failed to act on evidence of cheating.
