Katarina Johnson-Thompson believes that she is ready to win her first medal on the world stage in Beijing later this year.
Two years ago, Johnson-Thompson finished fifth in the heptathlon at the World Championships in Moscow, but after winning gold at the European indoors in the pentathlon, the Liverpudlian has admitted that she would feel disappointed with anything less than third place this summer.
The 22-year-old told BBC Sport: "I feel ready now as an athlete to take on these challenges. I think I'll be disappointed if I don't come away with a medal.
"I should be able to, not like when I was 19 when I went for the experience."
Johnson-Thompson has been forced to withdraw from this weekend's meeting in Gotzis as she continues to nurse a knee injury.
