Jessica Ennis-Hill to miss Commonwealth Games

Olympic Heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis-Hill will miss the Commonwealth Games after revealing that she is pregnant.

Jessica Ennis-Hill has announced that she will miss the Commonwealth Games after she revealed she is pregnant.

The 27-year-old endured a frustrating 2013 season after an ankle injury kept the Sheffield heptathlete out of the World Championships in Moscow.

The Olympic champion will now be absent from next year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after revealing that she is expecting her first child in 2014.

However, Ennis-Hill has indicated that she has every intention of defending her Olympic title in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
