British sprinter Marlon Devonish would be happy to include Dwain Chambers in the relay team for London 2012, despite the athlete's drugs ban.

British sprinter Marlon Devonish believes that fellow athlete Dwain Chambers should be allowed to compete in this summer's London Olympics.

The 34-year-old is expected to have his Olympic ban revoked once the findings of the court battle between the British Olympic Association and the World Anti-Doping Agency regarding the drugs cheat by-law is announced next week.

Chambers was hit with the lifetime ban from competing in Olympic Games in 2003 but could return for the 100m and 4x100m relay alongside Devonish.

"I've got no problem passing the baton to him or receiving it from him," Devonish told the Daily Mail.

"People make mistakes. Dwain should make the relay team stronger because he's been the fastest sprinter in Britain in the last few years. It is about us doing well and the relay is our best chance."

Devonish clinched gold with the British relay team at the Athens Games in 2004.
