Usain Bolt despairs at the number of rules in place at this summer's Olympic Games.

Usain Bolt has expressed his annoyance at rules that have prevented him from bringing certain objects into the Olympic village.

The Jamaican wowed spectators yet again on the track yesterday as he stormed to a second consecutive 100m gold medal, but off the track he has struggled to get his head around the number of rules in place.

"The Games have been okay, a little bit different from Beijing. There are a lot of rules, oh my God. You can't do anything," said Bolt.

"I was coming and wanted to bring my tablets in and they said I couldn't. I asked why. It is just a rule. I had my skipping rope in my bag and they said I can't bring it in. Why? It is just a rule.

"What if I need to take a rubber band inside to stretch I can't take it inside because it is a rule. It is just very small rules that don't make any sense to me."

Bolt, who broke his own Olympic record on his way to a fourth gold, will be looking to add to his tally in the 200m and 4x100m relay later this week.
