Nick Miller, Mark Dry claim medals in hammer final

Nick Miller claims silver for England, while Mark Dry of Scotland picks up the bronze medal as Jim Steacy triumphs in the hammer final.

England's Nick Miller has claimed silver in the men's hammer final, with Mark Dry of Scotland adding to the success for the home nations with a bronze medal.

Jim Steacy of Canada finished well clear of his rivals thanks to a throw of 74.16m, with Miller's 72.99m failing to trouble the eventual victor.

Dry delighted the locals by securing a spot on the podium with a 71.64m throw, just ahead of England's Alex Smith, who was forced to settle for fourth in the final.

Amir Williamson finished the lowest of the English competitors in sixth, with Scotland's Andrew Frost claiming ninth.
