Darren Campbell: Gemili is now "feared"

Darren Campbell believes that Adam Gemili will now be "feared" on the track after his silver medal at the Commonwealth Games.

Darren Campbell believes that Adam Gemili's performance in the Commonwealth Games' 100m final will make him a "feared" competitor throughout the sport.

The 20-year-old took the silver as he finished runner-up to Jamaica's Kemar Bailey-Cole on Monday evening, and Campbell praised the youngster for his display.

He told BBC Sport: "This young man has come onto the British sprinting scene and sucked it up.

"He has shown he has what it takes. It is about consistency - can you keep backing up those times? And yep, Adam Gemili - you are the man. Now he has got a medal, he will be feared."

Earlier in the evening, Blessing Okagbare won the women's 100m final.
