Adam Gemili "speechless" at silver medal

Adam Gemili admits that he was left "speechless" with his silver-medal finish in the men's 100m final.

Adam Gemili gas stated that he was left "speechless" after his silver-medal finish in the men's 100m final on Monday evening.

The Englishman finished second to Jamaican Kemar Bailey-Cole, and the youngster was delighted with his podium finish at Hampden Park.

He told BBC Sport: "This is my first senior medal, I'm speechless, there's so much preparation that goes into running 10s. It's not as easy as people think and I've got a great team behind me and they know who they are. I can't believe it, I'm so happy.

"It was unbelievable, that's something I'm never going to forget. The reception I got was brilliant. It's not about time, it's about position and I've done it so I'm really over the moon.

"The times will come and fingers crossed I have a decent time career, but medals is what counts, and it's about the European Championships and then Rio."

Earlier in the evening, Blessing Okagbare won the women's 100m final.
