Louise Bloor: 'We can beat the Jamaicans'

England sprinter Louise Bloor insists that her team can beat Jamaica in the final of the 4x100m relay at the Commonwealth Games.

England sprinter Louise Bloor has insisted that her 4x100m relay team have the ability to beat the Jamaicans in the final at the Commonwealth Games tomorrow night.

Bloor was involved in a dodgy exchange of the baton with final runner Ashleigh Nelson, but the team did manage to get it round safely to qualify for the medal race with a time of 43.33s.

The team raced alongside the Jamaicans in their heat, finishing 0.89s off the pace, but Bloor is confident that there is enough in the tank for them to beat the track heavyweights.

"I think it was quite a stacked heat we had. It's always good to run alongside them and to get that experience in the race," Bloor told Sports Mole.

"Everybody's really confident that after watching the girls in the 200m and the girls in the 100m finals, we've definitely got the talent to go out there and beat them in the final tomorrow."

The women's 4x100m relay final is scheduled to take place at 8.50pm tomorrow night.
