Men's marathon champion Michael Shelley has said that he is "over the moon" to have won gold at the Commonwealth Games this morning.
The Australian, who won silver in Delhi four years ago, pulled away from Kenya's Stephen Chemlany and Abraham Kiplimo in the last few miles to win the event in Glasgow.
He told BBC Sport: "I'm still pinching myself, it's very exciting. There have been some great Australians who have won this in the past, so it's great to be alongside them. I just stayed relaxed, and I'm over the moon."
Shelley's gold medal is Australia's 19th of the games so far.
