Slovenian duo 'fearless' after beating second seed German archers in Baku

Slovenian archers Ana Umer and Rok Bijak say that they do not fear anyone after knocking out second seeds Germany in the mixed team event at the European Games.

Slovenian archers Ana Umer and Rok Bijak are in confident mood after knocking out second seeds Germany in the mixed team event in Baku.

Umer and Bijax, who were ranked 15th for the tournament, defeated Florian Kahllund and Lisa Unruh 6-2 in the last 16.

"We were not the favourites but we don't care who our opponents are. We just do our best every time," Umer told reporters.

"It was a factor. I think we coped extremely well with it. We came through with flying colours. We know we can do it now. We just need to keep up the good work."

The pair will be in action in the quarter-finals against Belarus later this afternoon.
