Icelandic archer Sigurjon Atli Sigurdsson has said that he will make use of the experience gained in his memorable defeat to Belarusian shooter Anton Prilepov at the European Games in Baku.
Sigurdsson, who was ranked at number 915, secured the first set of the men's last-32 eliminations round against his experienced opponent, before being outdone by a memorable last-gasp effort from the Belarusian.
"It's just been amazing. I've been enjoying every day and just sucking it all in and just really enjoying each moment and trying to remember as much as I can," Sigurdsson, who has only been shooting for three years, told reporters after the contest.
"I want to feast on this experience for a long time."
The Russian Federation currently top the medals table at the Games, with their tally inclusive of 27 golds.
