The Washington Redskins have opened talks with wide receiver DeSean Jackson over a possible move to the franchise, according to reports.
Jackson was released by the Philadelphia Eagles last week after reports emerged linking him with a Los Angeles gang and raising questions over his attitude off the field.
The 27-year-old was quick to deny the rumours and is understood to be in high demand since his release, with at least nine teams reported to have contacted his agent.
The Redskins were first to arrange a meeting with the three-time Pro Bowler, however, and he now appears likely to join the team having visited their facility earlier today.
He also dined with members of the Redskins coaching staff, including head coach Jay Gruden, yesterday, before socialising with current Redskins players DeAngelo Hall and Pierre Garcon.
Jackson enjoyed arguably the best season of his career last year, starting all 16 games and recording 82 receptions for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns.
