Robert Griffin III: Injury is "unfortunate"

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III describes his dislocated ankle picked up in the victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars as "unfortunate".

Robert Griffin III has described the injury that forced him out of the Washington Redskins' game against the Jacksonville Jaguars as "unfortunate".

The quarterback suffered a dislocated ankle in the first quarter of Washington's 41-10 win earlier today, and will undergo further tests tomorrow.

At his post-game press conference, Griffin said: "My ankle got caught on the ground, it was an unfortunate situation. One guy doesn't define this team, that includes me.

"This city has embraced me and my family. It meant a lot to hear them cheering when I went off the field."

Griffin suffered a knee ligament injury at the end of his rookie season, limiting him throughout the 2013 campaign.
