Marcus Mariota unsure over return

Tennessee Titans head coach Marcus Mariota reveals that he is unsure whether he will return from a knee injury against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Marcus Mariota has refused to confirm whether he will be ready to return for the Tennessee Titans against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

The quarterback sprained ligaments in his knee in the 38-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins earlier this month, and he was forced to watch as his side lost 10-7 to the Atlanta Hawks at the weekend.

Despite returning to practice on Wednesday, Mariota admits that he is unsure whether he will be given the green light to take to the field in Texas.

"I'm not sure," he told the team's website when asked about his availability. "Hopefully I can. We're going to monitor the progress throughout the week. But it is feeling good."

The Titans head into the weekend on a five-game losing run.
