JJ Watt: 'Pro Bowl was sloppy'

Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt admits that the overall standard of play in this year's Super Bowl was "sloppy".

Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt has admitted that the standard of play in this year's Pro Bowl was "sloppy".

The match was played in consistent rain in Hawaii, contributing towards eight turnovers, six of which were interceptions, and nine sacks.

Watt, who was a captain for Deion Sanders's team, believes that the weather played a big part in the match, which saw Team Sanders lose 22-21 to Team Rice, who were led by legendary wide receiver Jerry Rice.

"It was definitely sloppy. There was a lot of turnovers because of the weather. There was a lot of rain, so obviously that factored into it," Watt told The AP.

This year was the first Pro Bowl that saw two former stars of the game draft players, taking over from the old format of AFC against NFC.
