Jason Licht would be comfortable making first overall pick today

Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht admits that he would be comfortable making the club's selection with the first overall pick in the Draft today if he had to.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht has revealed that the club would be comfortable selecting a player with the first overall pick if the NFL Draft began today.

The Buccaneers have been touted to select Jameis Winston with the number one selection when the Draft begins next Thursday following the 21-year-old's impressive career in the college game for the Florida State Seminoles.

Licht believes that the club have done enough research on the prospects to feel comfortable to make a pick if they had to at this moment in time.

"Going back all the way to the Combine we said we had a leader in the clubhouse," Licht told reporters. "We still do. If we had to pick today, we'd feel very comfortable making the pick."

The NFC South side finished with a 2-14 record in the 2014 campaign.
