Seattle Seahawks boss Pete Carroll bemoans bye week timing

Pete Carroll worries that his side may lose momentum when they take their bye week this weekend.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll has claimed that their bye week this weekend has come at a bad time.

Carroll's men currently top the NFC West with a 10-1 record, having not lost a home match since 2011.

He told reporters: "I don't think the bye comes at a great time for us, because we would like to keep playing, to tell you the truth.

"In a way, I feel like we've accomplished a lot to get to this point in some regards, and in other regards we haven't done anything yet."

While Carroll may not be keen on the timing of the bye, the Seahawks are likely to benefit from the returns from injury of Percy Harvin, Russell Okung and Breno Giacomini following their rest.
