San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York has insisted that his side had "no interest" in trading head coach Jim Harbaugh to the Cleveland Browns.
Reports emerged last week that the Browns were close to sealing a move for Harbaugh to become their new head coach in return for a number of Draft picks, only for the man himself to reject the trade.
"Not far at all," York told the Sacramento Bee when asked how far talks progressed. "We had no interest in entering those discussions. We want Jim to be our head coach, and we've said that very clearly."
The Browns went on to appoint former Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine as the successor to Rob Chudzinski.
