San Diego Chargers wide receiver Danario Alexander has reportedly suffered a setback in his recovery from injury.
Alexander has had to undergo two reconstructions of his anterior cruciate ligament, once in August following the initial injury and then again in January.
However, Fox Sports states that Alexander has suffered an infection and has had to undergo further operations, which will now put into doubt whether he will find a club in 2014.
Alexander had five operations on his knee even before he was drafted into the NFL in 2010.
