DJ Fluker: 'Practices were harder at Alabama'

DJ Fluker reveals that practices when he was in college at the Alabama Crimson Tide were harder than the ones he had during his rookie season.

San Diego Chargers offensive lineman DJ Fluker has revealed that his practices in college playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide were harder than the ones he had in his rookie season in the NFL.

Coaches in the NFL are restricted in the amount of time they can practice during the week along with the types of training, but in the NCAA programs, such as the ones under Nick Saban, have no such limitations.

"Playing at Alabama, practice-wise, is probably a lot harder than playing in the NFL," Fluker told 99.1 FM. "Being under Coach Saban and the practices he makes each and every day was like an NFL game.

"That prepared me the most, being in that environment every single day. Coach made everything organised, just like being in the NFL."

Fluker was drafted in the first round of the 2013 Draft by the Chargers.
