The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced that rising linebacker Ryan Shazier has signed a contract with the team.
Shazier came out as the number 15 pick during last month's Draft, with the player now having signed a rookie deal with the Pennsylvania-based side.
"The young man has no holes," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said of Shazier after the Draft.
"He's a defensive playmaker. Bigger than positional needs, what we needed was a defensive playmaker."
Shazier is being considered as a major contender to start the season opener in Dick LeBeau's defense.
