Marcus Gilbert has said that his leg feels fine, despite the tackle being forced out of the Pittsburgh Steelers' 19-16 win over the Baltimore Ravens last weekend.
The 25-year-old was limited in practice with a quadriceps injury leading up to the game, before re-injuring the muscle early in last Sunday's clash.
Gilbert told reporters: "I re-pulled it. I knew there would be a chance I was going to re-injure it. I went out there and tried to give it my all.
"Once I felt it pop again I had to come out. It was the second series. We had a pretty long run to my side. When I got up on the linebackers I couldn't anchor down. My leg just gave out. It's completely fine right now."
Gilbert is expected to start against the Oakland Raiders this weekend.
