Report: Miles Austin signs one-year deal with Philadelphia Eagles

A report suggests that wide receiver Miles Austin has signed a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles after he was allowed to leave the Cleveland Browns.

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed a deal to sign wide receiver Miles Austin, according to a report.

The 30-year-old spent the 2014 season at the Cleveland Browns where he had a solid campaign, despite the AFC North side's problems with their passing game.

Chip Kelly's men were in need of depth at the wideout position and have signed the veteran to a one-year contract worth up to $3m (£2.1m), reports NFL Network.

Austin has recorded 348 receptions for 5,049 yards and 36 touchdowns in his nine seasons in the NFL.
