Michael Vick: 'Nick Foles should keep starting role'

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick admits that Nick Foles deserves to be the team's starter.

Michael Vick has admitted that Nick Foles has earned the starting quarterback job with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Foles started the season as Vick's backup, but has started five games since the veteran sustained a hamstring injury, leading the team to four wins.

The 33-year-old told SportsRadio 94WIP: "In all honesty, in all fairness, how can you take a guy out of the game who's been playing so well? I've been in this stage before, and I know what it's like.

"I understand the position that this team is in, and the one thing I never want to do is be a distraction or put our team or our coaches in a position where they feel like they're not doing the right thing or I feel like they're not doing the right thing."

The Eagles are on their bye week this weekend.
