Michael Vick admits uncertainty over Philadelphia Eagles future

Michael Vick admits that he is unsure whether he will stay with the Philadelphia Eagles past the end of the current campaign.

Michael Vick has said that he doesn't know if he will remain with the Philadelphia Eagles next season.

Vick was the starting quarterback for the Eagles before suffering a hamstring injury in a loss to the New York Giants in October, with Nick Foles having replaced him.

Foles has put in two excellent performances since, including a seven-touchdown pass performance in a victory over the Oakland Raiders.

Vick told The Tribune: "I couldn't say if I'll be here in 2014. The only thing I can see myself doing is just trying to help our quarterbacks prepare and be the best that they can be.

"I'm trying to help the team win every week in the best way I can. As long as there's a need for quarterbacks, hopefully, I can always be a candidate.

"But I'd be naive not to think about where my career could be going. The thing is, I know I can still play. I feel good about what I still can do, and that's what's most important."

Although Eagles coach Chip Kelly has yet to confirm Foles as his starter going forward, it is widely thought that Vick will struggle to regain his place in the side.

The Eagles are currently placed in second spot in the NFC East, behind the Dallas Cowboys.
