Donovan McNabb says that it is hard to find the consistency to make the playoffs every season.

Donovan McNabb has said that it is not easy for the Philadelphia Eagles to consistently make the postseason playoffs.

Philadelphia will finish last in the NFC East, having won just four games this season, missing out on the playoffs for the second year in a row.

The former Eagles quarterback told Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia: "Making it to the NFC Championship [game] is not easy, and I think they're starting to see that right now, that getting to the playoffs and going to the NFC Championship consistently, it's just not that easy.

"There are teams right now who have winning records, like the Atlanta Falcons, they've done it for so many years, and they get to the playoffs, and all of a sudden, they're one and done."

The Eagles last made the conference championship game in 2008, losing to eventual Super Bowl winners the New York Giants, and last reached the Super Bowl in the 2004 season.

The Eagles face the Giants tomorrow, in what is expected to be Andy Reid's final game as head coach.
