Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has insisted that former teammate and now Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be a loss for the team next season.

McCoy said that with Jackson on the field there was always the chance to make big plays, but was confident in the club's decision to bring in running back Darren Sproles as an alternative.

"Not playing with him is definitely going to be different," McCoy told ESPN. "Playing against him is really going to be different. DeSean's by far one of the biggest playmakers in the game, and the biggest deep threat there is in the game.

"Some big shoes to fill, for sure. When you're making moves like that, [the Eagles] obviously know something, and I've got a lot of trust in them. I think with the team they put together so far, with bringing Darren Sproles in and making different moves and signing guys, they know what they're doing."

Jackson played for the Eagles for six seasons.
