Nick Foles: "Consistency is key"

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles says that he is trying to be consistent following his seven-touchdown performance against the Oakland Raiders.

Nick Foles has said that he must work on his consistency following his seven-touchdown performance against the Oakland Raiders last weekend.

The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback equalled the NFL record for most touchdowns in a game during the 49-20 win, also completing 406 passing yards.

The 24-year-old told reporters: "Consistency is the key to any position and it's the key to anything that you do. You don't want to have a drastically bad day and then a great day, you just fluctuate too much.

"We all strive to be consistent, and a lot of that had to do with preparation and what we do in the week, and then just putting what we did during the week on the game field.

"I don't play for myself, I play for my teammates and for the people that have helped me get to where I am, because I know that they watch me every week, and I want to play for them. That's just who I am."

Foles has started three games this season while Michael Vick battles a hamstring injury.
