Safety Charles Woodson has admitted that the number of fans who came to see him outside the Oakland Raiders team facility helped make up his mind to rejoin the franchise.
Woodson, who rejoined the Raiders yesterday, said that he was overwhelmed by the support and reminded how passionate the Raiders fans are.
"I think [the fans] played a big part," Woodson told the Bay Area News Group. "I think I was actually scared of leaving the facility and not having a deal done. I don't know if I would have made it out of there.
"However, that was a big deal, and receiving that kind of welcome, it definitely put me in a mindset that it would be a good decision to make it happen.
"I'm a football player so I'm gonna bring a lot of intensity, somebody who's passionate about the game, and a guy who knows how to make plays. That's what I'm going to bring."
Woodson first played for Oakland between 1998 and 2005.
