Oakland Raiders fire Hue Jackson

The Oakland Raiders fire head coach Hue Jackson, replacing him with Reggie McKenzie.

The Oakland Raiders have fired head coach Hue Jackson on the same day as officially unveiling Reggie McKenzie as their new general manager.

Jackson had just one full season with the Raiders, finishing with an 8-8 record and also taking over the personnel duties from late owner Al Davis, who passed away in October.

The Raiders started the season in good form, but lost four out of five along the way to missing the play-offs for the ninth year in a row.

McKenzie joins from the Green Bay Packers.
