Rex Ryan says that he is not ready to name his starting quarterback for the New York Jets' game against the San Diego Chargers this Sunday.

Rex Ryan has refused to say who will be the New York Jets starting quarterback against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

Mark Sanchez threw four interceptions, was sacked three times and fumbled in the last play of the game in the Jets' loss to the Tennessee Titans yesterday.

The Jets coach told reporters: "I'm not ready to say who will be our quarterback next week.

"It hurts beyond belief. The thing that hurts the most, no-one to blame but ourselves. For that last play to happen, it's about as bad as it gets."

Regular backup Tim Tebow returned for some option plays after struggling with a rib injury recently, while third-stringer Greg McElroy led the Jets to a win over the Arizona Cardinals earlier this month.

Yesterday's loss means that the Jets can no longer qualify for the postseason playoffs.
